Udyr is more than a man; he is a vessel for the untamed power of four primal animal spirits. When tapping into the spirits' bestial natures, Udyr can harness their unique strengths: The tiger grants him speed and ferocity, the turtle resilience, the bear might, and the phoenix its eternal flame. With their combined power, Udyr can turn back all those who would attempt to harm the natural order.

Udyr Tips (Ally)

  • Damage is applied to turtle shield post-mitigation. Therefore, buying defensive items can drastically increase your survivability.
  • Udyr is one of the best junglers in the game. Taking advantage of this can give your team a large XP advantage and map control.

Udyr Tips (Enemy)

  • Udyr players will often start in the jungle and only appear to gank in lanes. Try warding key locations to keep track of his movement.
  • Once the initial shield effect has faded, Turtle Stance is weak against other champions. Press the attack to force him to switch stances and prevent him from regenerating health.
  • Some Udyr players buy tank items to become very durable. If they do, focus their weaker teammates instead.

  • Sear: Damaging Monsters burns them for (60 + 30% Ability Power + 5% bonus Attack Damage + 2% bonus Health) magic damage over 5 seconds.
  • Chilling Path: Smiting 5 times consumes this item upgrade your Smite to Chilling Smite and increases its damage to monsters. When smiting champions Chilling Smite deals 20 - 156 (based on level) true damage and steals 20% of their Move Speed for 2 seconds.
  • Huntsman: Killing Large Monsters grants bonus experience.
  • Recoup: Regen up to 8 - 18 (based on level) mana per second when in the Jungle or River.

    Consuming this item grants all item effects permanently and increases Smite damage to monsters. If you have gained more gold from minions than jungle monsters, gold and experience from minions is heavily reduced. Healing is not reduced on AoE attacks. If two levels behind the average champion level of the game, monster kills grant bonus experience.

    Active - Supercharged: Grants 40% Move Speed towards enemies or enemy turrets for 4 seconds. Once near an enemy (or after 4 seconds) a shockwave is emitted that Slows nearby champions by 50% for 1.5 seconds (90s cooldown).
    Refuel: Moving and taking damage from Champions and large monsters fills up the Chemtank. At 100 stacks, your next basic attack deals 40-120 (+1% max Health, + 3% Move Speed) magic damage to all nearby enemies (increased by 30% against minions and 200% against jungle monsters).

    Udyr gains stacking Move Speed and Attack Speed after using an Ability. Udyr has four basic Abilities that he may use to swap between Stances. Changing Stances immediately ends both the passive and the on-hit portion of the previous Stance.

    Turtle Stance: Activation - Udyr gains a temporary shield that absorbs damage. Persistent Effect - Udyr's first attack and every third attack after heals him for 2.5% of his maximum health.

    Bear Stance: Activation - Udyr increases Move Speed for a short duration. Persistent Effect - Udyr's basic attacks stun his target for 1 second. This effect cannot occur on the same target for several seconds.
